Your beauty, my passion

I have spent more than ten years in the beauty industry and, strangely enough, those years have taught me one thing above all: most women don't need to become more beautiful. They need to stop believing they aren't beautiful enough.

I'm Ivana Ristova-Pahleva — cosmetician, beauty artist, permanent makeup artist, entrepreneur, Sociology graduate and currently a Master's student in Clinical Psychology. Yes, it's quite a mix. But somehow, it all makes sense.

My journey in beauty started more than a decade ago in Bulgaria, where I created and ran my own beauty business. Life later brought me to Switzerland, and today Darivian Beauty is my space in Wettingen — built from years of experience, countless faces, mistakes, lessons, new beginnings and a lot of work.

For the past five years I have also specialised in permanent makeup, particularly microblading and eyebrow design. But I have never wanted to create my eyebrows on every woman. I want to create your eyebrows — the ones that belong to your face, your expression and your personality.

And that philosophy goes far beyond brows. I love beauty. I love makeup. I love good skin. I love the tiny details that can completely change how a woman feels when she looks in the mirror. But I don't believe that every line needs to disappear, or that every face needs to follow the latest trend.

Aging is a privilege. Individuality is beautiful. And confidence cannot be injected, painted or filtered onto a face. Beauty can support it, though — and that's where my work begins.

Long before Darivian Beauty, I studied Sociology. Today, alongside my work in the beauty industry, I am completing my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. The more I learn about people, identity, self-image and behaviour, the more convinced I become that beauty has never been just about appearance. There is always a person behind the mirror.

That's why you won't find an assembly-line approach in my studio. I will listen to you. I will tell you what is possible, and I will tell you what isn't. And if I think you don't need something, I'll tell you that too. I'd rather lose a treatment than convince a woman that something about her needs to be fixed.
